We have been interested in participating ever since SOFOFA Hub began, particularly in the circular economy nuclei and in the activities developed to articulate challenges and connect, integrate and scale technological innovations and solutions.
Our partners have been pioneers in understanding the collaboration that is required by today’s innovation. Transitioning toward collaborative models requires an internal cultural change, in addition to the rethinking of processes. Collaborative projects have a greater long-term impact, because they provide an opportunity to generate economies of scale and articulate new processes in a holistic manner, as well as due to the commitment generated during the process and its implementation.
We are living in a time of great change and learning, and experience has taught us that the most successful way to move forward —despite transformations— is to be part of ecosystems that bring groups of industries, civil society, institutions and citizens together, all working to tackle a common challenge.
We are here because we want to listen to and learn from others on issues such as productivity, biotechnology, technological development, and because we can also contribute from our limited experience in these areas.
It is encouraging for us to have a space to talk and open our minds, to achieve innovative solutions. Moreover, the chance to connect with the world, and to understand how others have addressed similar challenges is very interesting to us.
The Hub is a way for large companies to learn how to collaborate. In innovation, it is essential to make other methodologies available and to work together with other companies, in order to find common solutions that help us all.
Ambition and the high quality of the ecosystem’s participants, to find common challenges and solutions. It is a source of inspiration and powerful motivation to keep pushing for change.
